How to Photograph Water Droplets With a Point & Shoot Camera
In this video, I show how to photograph water droplets with an ordinary point & shoot camera. All aspects of shooting are covered in this video, from camera ... Video Rating: 4 / 5
The easiest way would be to bring in a lamp or something so there's more light in the room. Or, you could pop up the flash and if the flash is too bright, put a piece of paper in front of the flash. That will diffuse it.
I have a canon s5 is and whenever I turn it to manual without the flash, it always seems so dark? Anyway I can brighten the picture without raising the flash?
Unfortunately I don't really have any plans to make more videos like this. I do have some ideas I'm thinking about though. Since you're getting into photography more, the best thing is to read the manual and push buttons so you know how to use your camera, and also to look at lots of pictures. I like to go onto flickr or 500px and look at pictures. Also check out famous photographers. You'll be surprised how much you can learn just by seeing other peoples' work. Thanks for your comment!
I am made up, didn't know i could do this with my camera. Thank you so much, I have subbed, are you going to make more videos like this, i didn't even know my camera was capable of this
Absolutely! The instructions for finding macro mode and the other settings shown in the video will be a little different on your camera. So pull out the manual to find out how to set up what you need, or just play around with the buttons a bit. The S100 is fantastic!
Hey there, awesome video! I have an olympus point and shoot camera, about a 2004 model, and I had never played With or had any idea about any settings for macro photography! Your vid was very helpful, I took pics of water drops and have taken a few other close up shots with the macro settings as well. Have found many more uses for my camera thanks to you!
Maybe the focus lock isn't working. I'd check the manual to see how to set up focus lock on the G12, but you could also try manual focus or center AF.
Hi, I have a question. I've got a Canon Powershot G12 & I followed your directions regarding the settings but when I depress the button it lingers, just trying to focus. It won't go off! What now?
You should look up things like light painting or moving photography. There are some really cool natural effects you can get when experimenting with different settings. Try a bunch, if you're using digital then you have no reason not to.
Hey QUESTION............ PLEASE anser I have a canon powershot sx130is and i like taking videos and pictures in manual focus though i don't know...... can i control the manual focus WHILE taking video please tell me can i.... and if i cant is there like a hack for it or lens atachment or somethin like that
Low ISO causes a slow shutter speed, resulting in motion blur. If you don't want your photos to be blurry, you should use a higher ISO. Experiment with it though!
hii i have canon sx110 is. i tried to focus but the water wont focus :/

I did all of this with my Nikon Coolpix L810 and its not working. Have the flash on and you can't see the water droplet.
ReplyDeleteI think you will get much more great pics if you arrange a blue LED to be dipped in the water
ReplyDeleteIt will add up some mood to it
