I want a very good point and shoot digital camera. I need image stabilizer or equivalent ,take sharp photos with a rechargeable battery. Also a good view finder.

A good viewfinder is hard to find these days, since few of the cheaper cameras have eye-level finders. Beyond that, every manufacturer would hope to fulfil your criteria from about £120 upwards.
