shallow depth of field through a point and shoot camera?

Question by Here we go: shallow depth of field through a point and shoot camera?
When we see the portraits, the background is blurred. And the subject is clear. Whether this can be made in point and shoot camera or a compact?

yes there are some compact cameras recently that can give the field depth to portrait photos.

  1. Portrait mode usually does this..
    If you do have Aperture priority (Av or A) or Manual mode (M), then try using those as well.
    To lower the depth of field even more, try zooming in.

  2. The short answer is no. You need a good lens that allows you to shoot at a large aperture. You can create a similar look in Photoshop.
