  1. Yes, there is a download for the S100. This is the easiest way to install for me:

    chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_For_Newbies_-_How_To_Install

Install and run Cardtricks. It'll tell you your firmware without having to copy a ver.req or vers.requ file to the root directory of the sd card.

  4. Image quality is quantifiable, however it is also subjective. I suspect differences in DSLR, point and shoot or even mobile phones when the images are presented in a matter that allows for best comparison. Glass is important but did anyone see the photo blog from the 2012 Olympics shot on an iPhone? Glass is not everything and a DSLR is not a prerequisite for high quality images.

  6. Ha, so you really think all those photographers on the sidelines of a football game and PROFESSIONAL photographers will be taking pictures of families and weddings with their tiny iPhones? you obviously don't know the difference between digital zoom and optical zoom. a camera phone physically can't replace a DSLR camera with lenses that cost up to thousands of dollars that can be 16 inches long i.e., a phone is meant to fit in your pocket. not actual DSLRcameras. Two are entirely different

  14. Does it actually work with Canon S100? or is there another way to go around it?

I've been trying for ages to even read the firmware using the "ver.req" and "vers.req" but still no result.

Don't even need to talk about CHDK. Won't even work.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciate!
