Before going any further I would just like to state that the digital point and shoot camera market is the biggest racket on earth. They cost nothing to produce and that is why there are so many manufacturers in on this racket. Doing my own research I have noticed that the predominate cause of failure is either the lcd screen or the optical zoom. So please just answer the question.

There are some without zoom but none without LCD. Having an LCD is the point of DSLRs..Market yes or no..It allows us to see photos first.
If you don't like that, go with an SLR/Analog.

Yes cameras without zoom are available and are cheap
ReplyDeleteI would recommend to go for cheap Kodak digital cameras without zoom, they do come with LCD however they still have eye piece to look at the subject . so it should not bother you and you can switch off the LCD to save power .Plus they use normal AA size rechargable battery , so you do not need to worry ever about buying costly battery backup (other cams come with properitery battery and often replacement/ additional battery or charger are costly and rip off)
Kodak digital cameras are very good quality and resonably priced.
